Family Photos

I have this goal that we will have a family photo taken at least every other year. That way the kids can see what their parents looked like as they were growing up, and we can remember how cute and tiny they once were, how much hair we once had, or how skinny/big we were. It's a silly goal, but a GOAL nonetheless because I am married to a man who HATES family pictures. But with Emily in the family he had no choice this year but to suck it up and go with the flow. I'm pretty sure that he told me on our way to get the pictures done that this was going to be one of my Christmas presents this year...
Anyway, we have a wonderful/amazing/awesome/super talented friend who is just getting a photography business started. She lives in Idaho and was in town for the weekend visiting her family. Before she came she sent out an email telling friends that she was bringing her camera with her; and to give her a call if any of us wanted our pictures done. Guess who called within five minutes of getting the message?
We did our pictures out at her parents ranch-and it was so much fun! It was FREEZING outside-but everyone did such a great job! Josh and I kept the kids laughing at some inside jokes we have as a family (this means nothing to anyone but my kids: "who do you love, put on a glove"), and Rebecca (the super star photographer) kept US laughing with mammogram stories-which is what she does when not taking pictures. Thanks again Rebecca for some great 2010 documentation of our family!
