Happy Birthday Hannah!

Sweet Little Hannah Bear turned 8 on Aug. 30th! This year we planned a fun party at the park, followed by swimming at the pool. Mother Nature decided that wasn't really in the cards for us though. We woke up to rain pouring down, and cold temperatures. Change of plans! Quick, call everyone, quick clean the house, quick make sure you have all of the supplies ready. All I can say is it was exhausting, and fun all at the same time. I really could not have pulled this party off without some AMAZING friends who stayed to help-everything from making sandwiches, to picking up wrapping paper, to vacuuming up cake. Thanks so much Stef, Mindy, and Michelle. You guys are the best!
NOW ABOUT HANNAH...

My little sweetheart decided a butterfly theme was what she wanted this year-and butterflies she got. I saw an adorable template of a butterfly cake online, so Josh helped me cut it out. The recipe called for one cake mix to make two 9" round cakes. Lucky us-we were able to make two butterfly cakes! Josh decorated one, and I did the other. Hannah of course helped-and swears she didn't have a favorite (but I really think mine won).

When the guest arrived we did a fun butterfly craft, followed by a wrap the caterpillar in the cocoon game.

It seemed like everyone had a good time. Hannah really enjoyed herself, and didn't mind being the center of attention for a second. We are so amazed by and proud of this wonderful little girl, and can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with her. Happy Birthday Hannah!
