The Fair!

I know that all of my friends posted fair adventures at least a month ago. But here in Washington they do things a little different. The Puyallup fair is held from Sept. 5-21 (yep that long) and it is dubbed "THE FAIR" Apparently there are no others that compare to it.
This past weekend we decided to see what it was all about. Talk about waiting until the last minute, how many weeks had it been going on? Oh well.
Other than the RAIN, it was a blast! The kids were so super excited, and to be honest I was just as giddy. I have always been a huge fair fan. What isn't to love? The smells, the rides, the animals, the FOOD!
This fair really was incredible. We sampled all kinds of food, from Earthquake burgers (not as good as Pilot Butte Drive Inn), to the real deal corn-dogs (totally yummy). We had elephant ears, AND cotton candy. To justify all of this, we did walk a LOT and it is only once a year.
The best part... this super amazing sweet lady in line in front of us at the first ride the kids went on gave us ALL of her tickets. Free! Her daughter was tired and too little for a lot of the rides, so she just gave them to us. Each of the kids got six free rides! It doesn't get much better than that!
